  2. Collect Money and Buy some things in Korea needed for Mugungwha house.

69 Quilts for Korean Orphans

The Gippsland "Sew 'n' Sews" Group donated 69 quilts in 2005 to Korea to be given to orphans there. We are well on the way for another lot to go again soon.
The "Sew 'n' Sews" got together over a Passion for Patchwork. It's contagious you know! Over the last 5 years they have donated quilts to orphanages in Chiang Mai & Cambodia, bush fire victims & premature & still born babies.
Myra Hill is our inspiration & technical advisor & Denise Wilton our purchasing & supplies co-ordinator, we source companies who donate or supply batting & sewing threads at cost or less to us. Jenni Parkin, Judy Mathews & Dot Larard comprise the rest of the group. We all enjoy our weekly meetings & lunch together at Dot's home, while we discuss our latest projects & progress. There are always new designs to inspire our enthusiasm & excitement at seeing how each of us has worked out the latest project so we never get bored with our work. We have received a steady supply of material from different sources which is a great help to us, Denise is an expert at colour co-ordinating & can always find just the right fabric to highlight & augment our donated supplies. She is also our link to the Korean orphans group as she & Max have a Korean daughter who is now 19. We have all watched with interest as she has grown up into a lovely young woman.

We are always very thankful to Receive Donations of New Fabrics, Wool Batting or Cash Donations.
