Children's Day Report
Eva (JBK)
This year on the 5 May 2019, KAF HANHO Children’s day was at Luna Park. As soon as I saw the big mouth, I was so excited. I hadn’t
been to Luna Park in such a long time, so I couldn’t really remember what the mouth looked like. I sort of laughed when I saw it. There were fourteen of us including myself, Mum, Dad, Eliel,Charlie, Gina, Chloe, Min-ho, Kim,Mick, Jun, Soo-ho, Kellie and Darren. There were so many rides I didn’t know which one to go on first, but the rest of the group went on the ‘Twin Dragon’, so I did too. The Twin Dragon was a big ship that had rows of seats and a dragon head at each end. It swung high, and some people call it the “Pirate Ship.” Although I had my eyes closed for the scary rides such as the Scenic Railway, Coney Drop Tower and the Twin Dragon, I still had a great time. I only closed my eyes because I was scared and had a weird feeling in my stomach. We all had lunch together. Eliel and I had a sausage roll with tomato sauce on top. My favourite ride was Speedy Beetles, where two people sit on either side of a plastic beetle which spins while going on. I would like to go there again soon. |

KAF Golf Day
Jan Goldsmith (Former KAF Parent)
Do you ever wonder if parenting and golf are similar? There are hardships and happiness in both!
On Sunday some of us got together to play in the Korean Adoptive Families Golf Classic at Malvern Vale. This game is played in the memory of Victor Gamble who BBQ'd many hundreds of sausages at Han Ho children’s days and instructed many in the skills of yabbying at camp. Here Joy Gamble shows us how close her tee shot was on a Par 3. Her group of golfers scored 4 birdies in this fun ambrose game and no wonder we were winners! All golfing levels and abilities are welcome, so think about playing this with us in 2020…and thank you Charlie for organising this day. |
